i woke up dreaming of donuts yesterday. fortunately for me sunday is the only day that moody’s donuts is open. it just happens to be right down the street, also. even though the weather was a bit sketch, i took my coffee, bought a donut, and took it for a walk in the lone fir cemetery.
here i am walking to the cemetery. you can’t see my donut, but it’s in the hand that i wasn’t using to take this pic.
here’s my donut in the cemetery. these donuts are so cool. they are made in a little barn outside of a cafe on belmont street. you can watch them being made. when you eat them, it’s so cool. they are super crispy on the outside and fluffy and heavenly on the inside.
i went walking through the peacefulness that is the lone fir cemetery after i ate my donut. i went to the oldest section first. where my favorite tombstone is located.
on my way weaving around to go back home, i saw these chickens going back to their yard. there were babies, and i think they’re of an heirloom variety.
i think this little mausoleum would be such a cool studio work space, but it might be a little creepy.
there are several tombstones that look like tree trunks in this cemetery. i guess this was popular during a certain era? it’s pretty neat!
